Project Manager

  • Insure company and customer satisfaction through professional appearance, expert workmanship and polite communication.
  • Attend all company/client meetings.
  • Create an anticipated project schedule (critical path) in advance of project commencement, adjust schedule as needed based on production realities. Advise subcontractors of proposed schedule. Verify and confirm material lead times and purchase orders as needed to maintain efficient schedule.
  • Daily, inform of the progress of the project, including any customer concerns, problems, delays, etc.
  • Supervise the activities of the company’s field carpenters and/or independent subcontractors, which include oral and written communication as needed.
  • Be responsible for the efficient and profitable use of the company’s time, manpower and materials on each project as included in project estimate sheets.
  • Responsible for tracking the progress and profitability of the projects under his or her supervision.
  • Ensure the image of the company is supported by the appearance and activities of the installation teams and job sites.
  • Collaborating with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project
  • Plan and supervise a range of construction projects from start to finish.
  • You will organize and oversee construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Must be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results.
  • The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational skills.
  • The goal will be to ensure all projects are delivered on time according to requirements and without exceeding budget.
  • Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
  • Determine needed staff and allocate responsibilities
  • Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
  • Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies
  • Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
  • Ensure all required approvals, documentation, notifications are submitted per the guidelines and procedures of each project
  • Management of the submittal process. Ensure all submittals are sent in and approved in a timely manner to ensure the project schedule is not impacted.
  • Work with the Accounting Manager to submit a monthly pencil requisitions as well as final month requisitions. Ensure that payments are received in the time frame outlined in the contract terms.
  • Review and know the project contract and schedule. Ensure that all time frames for notifications, delay notices and any other requirements are being adhered to.
  • Review all incoming PO’s and Invoices for approval. Once approved organize and send to the Accounting Manager for payment processing.
